Il Divo

I thought to share you one of my favorite group singers. If you haven't heard about them or heard any of their music then you got hear them now. Here's a link to see a music video from them doing "Amazing Grace".

What good looking guys.

Some of you know that I'm taking voice lessons and I value anybody who can sing WELL and BEAUTIFUL and classical music ONLY. Sometime I might share you some of my personal solo music I'm working on.

After the Winter God Sends the Spring

Springtime is a season
of HOPE and JOY and CHEER,
There's beauty all around us
to see and touch and hear...
So, no matter how downhearted
and discouraged we may be,
New HOPE is born when we behold
leaves budding on a tree...
Or when we see a timid flower
push through the frozen sod
And open wide in glad surprise
it's petaled eyes to God...
For this is just God saying--
"Lift up your eyes to Me,
And the bleakness of your spirit,
like the budding springtime tree,
Will lose it's wintry darkness
and your heavy heart will sing"--
For God never sends THE WINTER
without the JOY OF SPRING.

Picture Tag

I guess I have been picture tagged.

This photo is of my oldest daughter, Ashley 14 months old with our dog Laddie. This picture of our dog Laddie is before photo; before he got REALLY sick and we found out he had diabetics. We adopted Laddie from a tragedy (homicide) of a nearby neighbor who died. The cops were looking for a home for the dog and we took him in. We would see Laddie and his owner go on walks all lot and liked how he behaved with kids and nobody wanted him, so he became ours. He was the BEST dog I’ve had, before he got sick. He was 25lbs over weight when we got him, and he lost about 28 lbs being sick. He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The worst type to have, the type we had to give him insulin shots twice a day. That became VERY expensive and he was still going downhill slowly . We just had to put him down when it got to the point he just wasn't eating anymore. Our kids still talk about him and still tell people our dog died (2yrs ago)

It's amazing how are children grow. Ashley was very adorable, a little chubbier then. She was running around by 12 months with VERY high energy and it hasn't stopped. I miss that little baby, but not about potty training part. I don't miss that one bit.

School days #1

I'm going to start a series about school days and what we are doing this year in kindergarten for Ashley and preschool for Hannah. I figure we should start out with the VERY first thing we do at 9:00am(school time starts in my house).

We say our "Pledge the Allegiance" EVERY school morning.

We all used to have to say this in school and NOW PUBLIC schools have taken it out, because it has the word "UNDER GOD" in it. What a shame to this world, I for one, WILL put it back in my girls schooling.

Help Yourself to Happiness

Everybody, everywhere
seeks happiness, it's true
But Finding it and keeping it
seems difficult to do,
Difficult because we think
that happiness is found
Only in the places where
wealth and fame abound--
And so we go on searching
in "palaces of pleasure"
Seeking recognition
and monetary treasure,
Unaware that happiness
is just a "state of mind"
Within the reach of everyone
who takes time to be kind --
For in making OTHERS HAPPY
we will be happy, too,
For the happiness you give away
returns to "shine on you."
